What does this have to do with Larym Design?  Well as our past and current clients know, we have incredible work ethic.  Our clients know we hail from the Silicon Valley, the home of Apple Computers, co-founded by Steve Jobs.  But perhaps what they don't know is what drives our commitment to success.  Perhaps, what anyone that does business with Larym Design needs to know is that we are as emotionally tied to this digital era, as we are tied financially.  That what we do day in and out is our true passion.  And because of that, whether your you are big or small, you will always get our very best.

Whether you agree or disagree with my words, I hope they move you forward.

The loss of Steve Jobs this week hit me harder than I expected.  While I had the fortune to meet him several times, he was not a friend.  I laughed at the name of his company and logo in 1981.  I turned down an interview on campus in 1984 (I already accepted a job with Hewlett Packard, just an exit or two away),  and I never wanted to use any of his products until the iPhone.  So why is it that his passing has affected me so much?

Maybe because his passing represents the end of an era that I so happily joined in the early 80's.  I am glad to say that I am here now…and I was able to personally meet Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Larry Ellison, Jim Clark (SGI and Netscape) , as well as  the founders of HP – Bill Hewlett and Dave Packard, and many others that have changed my world..our world. They dreamed of things that no one supported when they developed their ideas.  But they were courageous and persistent enough to see their dreams become reality.  And now the world is dramatically different and definitely better because of them.  They were not the “Einsteins” that developed theory. They were the ones that took it a step further, and even though their dreams and visions went against current thinking, they made it the new truth.  They made our truth.  They spread and imbedded their truth to the world.  They created the beginning of the new digital era.  We are forever changed.

Surely there are tons of people that I have met and not mentioned above, or those I have not had the honor of meeting, that deserve the same credit.  I am sure they are just as powerful and successful.  Yet I mention the names above, along with Steve Jobs because as creators of innovative technology, they gave me the professional legs that I have stood on from college and continue to stand on today, as an entrepreneur.  I built a career and a life-style based on selling, implementing, supporting, and managing, what they created.  And for that I am extremely thankful.  Who knew this child of Alex and Mary Peterson would grow up to be a part of all of this?  I truly love that I am.  And thanks to Mom and Dad for raising a nerd. I love you.

Life is short.  Always strive to do the best you can do with what you have.  Live your life the best you can live it every day.  Find what you love to do and be the best you can be doing just that.  No matter what.  Find happiness every day.  And most importantly, let those closest to you know and feel your happiness.  And that will become your legacy.   I want that to be my legacy. Let that be yours also.  In reflecting on Steve Jobs again, he lived his life that way and left that very legacy for all of us to remember.  But more importantly he gave us an example and words to read.  Videos to watch.  And surely products that will forever change so many industries.  He was never afraid to innovate.

Add them to other areas, such as above blog comment areas, to get them noticed even more. 7) Sign Up Your Buyers: If you use an automated shopping cart system then most will allow you to automatically add customers to a designated customer list. Use this to send them product updates or offers tailored to what they’ve already bought.

10) Participate In Ad Swaps: This means promoting another marketer’s list in exchange for them promoting your list to their own subscribers. This works best if your lists are a similar size, and if you’re very careful about the people you promote to your subscribers (i.e. make sure you trust the other party!)

It goes without saying that you should have separate email lists for broadly different subjects. A subscriber interested in gardening probably won’t respond when you send them emails about learning French, and vice versa. However, you can also apply this rule to small sub-niches.
